Nil and Theo first crossed paths in autumn 2019, playing for the same mixed volleyball team in a small town in South West England. The team didn't exactly make waves in the league (they only won one game all season), but the two of them hit it off. A few months later, COVID arrived. They decided to face lockdown together, and it turned out to be the start of something special. Even when Nil later moved to Reading for work, they kept the momentum going with plenty of adventures. On 5th October 2024, Theo proposed to Nil in Amesbury — a place that had become special to them as a halfway meeting spot during their time apart. And from that moment, their next chapter began.
